Like sword adventure anime movies? Then, you’d like the 2007 anime Swords of the Stranger ストレンヂア －無皇刃譚－ aka Sutorjia: Muko Hadan. Directed by Masahiro Ando 安藤 真裕 and featuring the voices of yuki Chinen, Tomoya Nagase, Akio Otsuka, Naoto Takenaka, Koichi Yamadera, this exciting movie is about young Kotaro amd his dog Tobimaru who are hunted by the Mings from China.
Kotaro encounters a nameless samurai (”Nanashi”) who he employs as his bodyguard. Nanashi is complex character is constantly being haunted by dreams of the past which leads him to seal his sword. Among the Mings is a fiercesome gaijin fighter named Rarou who desires only to find a worthy opponent to fight. When both groups clash with a Sengoku-era feudal lord, a proud general, and monks torn between faith and survival, the reason behind the Mings’ pursuit tests the bond between Kotaro and Nanashi.
